ISO 9001 and the Quality Standard

Since 1994, the Bright Print Group has held accreditation to the International Quality Standard, ISO9001. This accreditation is externally audited on a yearly basis by SAI Global to ensure the system is being maintained and nurtured across all areas of our production and administration flows.

The Quality Standard not only provides our organization with a solid operational foundation, but provides security to our clients that we can deliver upon our promises. Our systems are robust, yet flexible and constantly under the spotlight of improvement. We are constantly endeavouring to fine tune the system to allow for better efficiency, greater productivity and higher quality.

The number of print awards that we have won over the years is testament to our adherence to our quality ethos. Print Awards are industry recognition of superiority and commitment.

ISO14001 and the Environmental Standard

Our systems though, don't just stop at quality. In 2008, we gained accreditation to ISO14001, the international environmental standard. This was a great achievement and one of which we at the Bright Print Group are very proud.

In fact, external recognition of our achievements followed soon after accreditation, with the winning of Gold at the NSW Print Awards in 2008 for Environmental Initiatives. This award was won in a highly valued category. The NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change, presented the Award for excellence to the Bright Print Group.

FSC Chain of Custody Certification

In October 2009, BPG obtained FSC COC Certification to the Standard FSC-STD-40-004 V2-0 Standard for COC Certification November 2007. This certification is valid, pending annual audit requirements for 5 years. We support the principles of the Forest Stewardship Council and are pleased to have achieved certification. BPG First Company in NSW to receive Level 3 SGP Certification

In 2009, we continued our quest to develop best practice in terms of our environmental policies and procedures. To this end we sought out and received certification to the Printing Industries Association of Australia's Sustainable Green Print.

BPG were the second company in Australia and first in NSW to to achieve this level of certification. The certification is printing industry specific and very rigorous in its reporting requirements of efficiency programs and waste streams in particular.

Department of Environment and Climate Change

We do not intend to rest on our laurels and have now joined with the Department of Environment and Climate Change (DECC) to participate in the Department's Sustainability Advantage Program. This program commenced in 2009 and will take 18 months to complete. All facets of our operations will be closely examined and it is anticipated that some very worthwhile and innovative solutions will be uncovered through our program participation. We are honoured to be a part of this program and look forward to working with the DECC in this valuable and important area of operation.

In 2010 we were awarded the coveted Bronze Membership in recognition of our achievements under this program.
